ASSYRIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - An elderly Barry County woman was robbed at gunpoint at her own home Tuesday.
It happened around 9 a.m. at the woman's residence on Baseline Road east of M-66 in Assyria Township, according to Michigan State Police.
The suspect allegedly came to the residence once and then returned with a handgun. He demanded money, which the woman gave to him. She was not hurt.
The suspect is described as a 5-foot-10 to 6-foot-2 white male with a medium-to-heavy build between 40 and 50 years of age. He was wearing a stocking cap and dark clothing and leaving in a red or maroon, four-door car believed to be a Ford.
