DELTON, Mich. (WOOD) - A Delton man shot in the buttocks while driving on I-96 Saturday has been released from a hospital.
Scott Arnold, 46, was traveling along eastbound Interstate 96 near a weigh station in Ingham County while en route to Game 3 of the World Series in Detroit.
The bullet was fired from an unknown location and went through Arnold's vehicle's driver’s side door.
Arnold drove to a nearby gas station for medical attention. He was then transported to Saint Joseph Mercy Hospital where he was treated and released.
The shooting, one of two incidents along I-96 Saturday, appears to be connected to 22 others since Oct. 16 in four southeastern Michigan counties -- Ingham, Oakland County, Livingston and Shiawassee.
Investigators continue to search for the shooter.
