HASTINGS, Mich. (WOOD) - An ex-MLB player has been charged with another count of criminal sexual conduct involving a teen girl, bringing the total number of charges against him to six.
Chad Curtis was back in the Barry County courthouse Monday to be arraigned on a count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Curtis is already scheduled to stand trial for five counts of criminal sexual conduct: one count of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree, two counts of fourth-degree CSC and two counts of second degree CSC. The charges range from misdemeanors to 15-year felonies.
The initial five counts allege Curtis touched two teenage, female students in a locked weight room with no windows at Lakewood High School, where he was volunteering and in line to become the new football coach.
The most recent charge came after an alleged third victim came forward to authorities.
At Monday's arraignment, Curtis was again given a $100,000 bond. He paid 10% in cash and was allowed to leave.
In May, Curtis denied the allegations in an interview with 24 Hour News 8 outside his home.
Requests for comment from Curtis' attorney were not returned as of Monday evening.
