THORNAPPLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - One man died and another was inured after their vehicles collided along a Barry County road.
It happened around 9:20 p.m. Sunday on M-37 south of Garbow Road in Thornapple Township, according to a news release.
A northbound Ford Taurus slid into oncoming traffic and collided with a southbound Chevrolet pickup truck, police said.
The driver of the car, 21-year-old Theodore Heath of Hastings, was transported to Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids and later pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck, 54-year-old Jack Rose of Hastings, was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
The investigation continues but it appears icy road conditions were a factor in the crash. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were factors.
