ASSYRIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Michigan State Police have released a surveillance photo of a man seen after allegedly robbing an elderly woman at her Barry County home last month.

The crime occurred Jan. 29, 2013 at a residence on Baseline Road east of M-66 in Assyria Township.

The photo was released Monday and shows the suspect as being a white man, 40 to 50 years old, being 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall, having a medium to heavy build, and wearing a stocking cap and dark clothing.

He went to the home once and returned a second time, threatened the woman with a handgun and demanded some money, according to state police.

The resident gave the suspect some cash and he left the scene in a red/maroon, four-door car, believed to be a Ford model, which is also in the photo. The picture's locale was not specified in a news release from Michigan State Police.

The woman was not hurt in the incident.
