WAYLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - A Wayland attorney has been charged with six methamphetamine-related felonies.
Patrick Burson, 35, was arraigned Wednesday on four counts of operating and maintaining a meth lab, each a 20-year felony; and two counts of possession of meth, each a 10-year felony.
In June, officers from the West Michigan Enforcement Team searched Burson's Wayland office and Otsego-area home. They found meth lab materials at both locations, they said. WEMET also confiscated nearly $1,000 in cash.
Also named in warrants connected to the June searches were 28-year-old Polly Gates of Otsego and 36-year-old Sherry Cunningham of Otsego. The women turned themselves in to the Allegan County Sheriff's Department Wednesday.
Gates was arraigned Wednesday on four counts of felony operating and maintaining a meth lab, two counts of felony possession of meth and two counts of felony delivery/manufacture of meth.
Cunningham faces one count of possession of amphetamines, a two-year felony.
All three are expected back in court for preliminary exams on Dec. 6.
