Trooper, firefighter save crash driver
Victim is a 45-year-old Plainwell man

OTSEGO, Mich. (WOOD) - A Michigan State Police trooper and an Otsego firefighter are being credited with reviving a man after he crashed his vehicle.
Trooper George Duncan responded with Otsego police officers and firefighters to a crash in the city about 3:25 p.m. Thursday.
Rescue personnel noticed the 45-year-old Plainwell victim was unresponsive and not breathing in his vehicle, according to Michigan State Police.
Trooper Duncan and Joel Thompson began CPR on the driver and utilized an automated external defibrillator. A heart rhythm was restored and the victim began breathing on his own.
Rescue personnel took the driver to Borgess-Pipp Hospital in Plainwell and then transferred him to Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
The victim had been working out at a nearby gym and left when he began feeling poorly, police said. The crash occurred shortly thereafter.
