GUN PLAIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman in Gun Plain Township managed to escape a man who abducted her from a convenience store parking lot.
On the evening of Dec. 27, according to Michigan State Police, the 36-year-old victim was waiting for her friend, who was in the store, in the passenger's seat of the friend's vehicle.
A stranger then dragged her from the vehicle and forced her into a truck, police say.
Not far from the convenience store, the victim was able to escape the truck and run to a nearby friend's house and call police.
The truck is described as a dark-colored, older, box-shaped pickup truck. It may have been a Ford.
A composite sketch of the suspect was recently completed. The suspect is described as a 5-foot-6 white male with a medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark stocking cap.
