WAYLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - A man who led police on a car chase through two counties and then a foot chase was eventually arrested after a two-hour search.

The incident began around 6 p.m. in Kalamazoo Township in connection with a drug case, according to Michigan State Police.

The suspect fled the original unidentified scene and a car chase ensued along northbound U.S. 131.

Authorities used Stop Sticks, which deflated tires on the suspect's vehicle, which crashed in a ditch near the Wayland exit in Allegan County.
