WAYLAND, Mich. (WOOD) - A man who led police on a car chase through two counties and then a foot chase was eventually arrested after a two-hour search.
The incident began around 6 p.m. in Kalamazoo Township in connection with a drug case, according to Michigan State Police.
The suspect fled the original unidentified scene and a car chase ensued along northbound U.S. 131.
Authorities used Stop Sticks, which deflated tires on the suspect's vehicle, which crashed in a ditch near the Wayland exit in Allegan County.
The suspect ran from this scene and police set up a perimeter, blocking several streets in the area.
The suspect was eventually taken into custody.
