BRADLEY, Mich. (WOOD) - Gun Lake Casino, through its Charitable Giving Program, donated a total of $13,000 to 13 Allegan County libraries.
Casino officials surprised each library with a $1,000 check during a ceremony Thursday at the Dorr Township Library.
The donations will enable the libraries to continue to provide and improve pivotal youth and family programs for local residents, officials said.
"We are thankful we are able to make a positive impact for so many individuals in our community," John Shagonaby, CEO of the Gun Lake Tribal Authority said in a news release. "We are committed to giving back to our neighbors in West Michigan."
Gun Lake Casino strives to improve the quality of life for residents in the surrounding communities, officials said. In its continued efforts, the Casino recognizes and supports literacy and learning programs that libraries provide for hundreds of families in Allegan County.
Gun Lake Casino is located off Exit 61 on U.S. 131 south of Wayland.
