LAKETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A Laketown Township family is safe but their house was destroyed after an early morning fire Saturday.
Graafschap Fire Department officials told 24 Hour News 8 they received calls of the fire around 4:30 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived at the 6300 block of 145th Street, they found the house fire fully involved.
Everyone in the house got out of the house before flames consumed the house. Fire crews got the fire under control around 5:30 a.m.
Fire officials believe the fire started in the attached garage, but the cause is unknown at this time.
