Kokomo cops checking escapee tips

KOKOMO, Ind. (WOOD) - Authorities in Kokomo, Indiana say they suspect Michigan's escapees and their girlfriends have fled the area in the truck they stole Thursday afternoon.

Still police remain on high alert and continue to investigate tips from the public about their whereabouts.

Friday morning investigators responded to a Target store in Kokomo after a store clerk reported seeing the suspects in the store.

The worker told police she was 80% sure she saw the men who have become familiar faces around town because of wanted posters and media coverage.

Investigators reviewed surveillance tape at the store but could not confirm whether or not the individuals on the tape were Gregory Bradshaw and Kenneth Grauman II.

After checking the area, police found no sign of the suspects, their girlfriends, or the stolen car.

Kokomo Police Major Brian Sheldon said he thought it unlikely that the suspects would remain in Kokomo especially since they've acquired transportation to flee elsewhere, but he said authorities are responding to all tips in case they've stuck around town.

The suspects are believed to be traveling in a stolen silver 2006 GMC pickup truck with an extended bed. The truck had a Purdue vanity plate affixed to its front bumper.

The pickup is the fourth stolen vehicle the escapees are believed to have utilized as they continue to elude authorities.

Investigators say the suspects are armed and possibly dangerous. Anyone who sees them should contact 911.
