Condo damaged in Douglas fire

No one hurt in late Friday night fire

DOUGLAS, Mich. (WOOD) - Firefighters from various departments spent several hours putting out a fire at a condominium late Friday night.

Around 11 p.m., fire crews in Saugatuck Township received calls about fire coming from a condo in the 400 block of Amity Road.

When crews arrived, they found heavy fire and smoke coming from the lower level of the building.

Fire crews spent hours putting out the fire at the four unit condo. One unit was destroyed by the fire, another had water and smoke damage.

No one was hurt in the fire. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
