LAKETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Allegan County sheriff's officials say they have arrested two men in connection with numerous burglaries.
The 22- and 25-year-old suspects were taken into custody at 4 p.m. Tuesday following an ongoing police surveillance at the Laketown Township Beach parking lot. That is where many vehicles were being broken into and items were stolen, police said.
The suspects were then connected to several home invasion cases, which have now been closed, police said. The detective assigned to the vehicles case is still recovering property and linking these aforementioned home break-ins to others in the northwest corner of Allegan County, according to a news release. Additional charges will be forthcoming.
"The suspects are also believed to have been involved in stealing scrap metal and breaking into businesses," police said.
