VALLEY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A motorcyclist died after he crashed his motorcycle on an Allegan County road Sunday night.
Christopher Easterly was traveling east on 118th Avenue east of 48th Street in Valley Township when his motorcycle went off the road, witnesses told police.
Witnesses said he tried to regain control but struck a fence and was thrown off the bike, according to a news release.
Police and rescue personnel arrived at the scene south of Fennville around 8 p.m. and pronounced Easterly dead. he suffered severe head trauma injuries.
Police said Easterly, 39, from Fennville, was not wearing a helmet.
"The presence of alcohol is unknown at this time," investigators said.
