Watson Twp treasurer faces embezzlement

WATSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - The treasurer of a rural Allegan County township was arraigned Thursday on an embezzlement charge.
A warrant was issued last week for Stephanie Bogdan after a county detective began investigationg the allegation.
Investigators believe the amount of money missing is "substantially greater" than the official charge -- embezzlement by a public official over $50 -- but they don't yet know exactly how much money may have been taken.
