TROWBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A man accused of attacking several people and stabbing four of them at an overnight family gathering has been arrested, according to the Allegan County Sheriff's Department.
Silent Observer was offering a reward for the arrest of 23-year-old Levi Nation.
Nation was an uninvited guest at a cookout in the 3200 block of 102nd Avenue in Trowbridge Township. He started arguments, witnesses said, and then attacked about five or six people.
"He ended up beating up two girls there were here -- punched one of them in the face, kicked one of them in the face, and then kicked one in the ribs," Kelly Higgins said.
A pregnant victim told 24 Hour News 8 she barely escaped one of his jabs.
"I was like, 'Calm down, everything's going to be OK. I don't wanna fight. I'm pregnant," Miya Vargas said. "He reached in his pocket, and from the light in the fire, I saw a glisten and he was like 'bam!"
"He ended up cutting my stepdad," Kelly Higgins said. "He cut him so deep that he tore tendons."
Deputies arrived on the scene just after 2:20 a.m.
Kelly's husband Corey Higgins told 24 Hour News 8 that he was stabbed three times in the hip and received a cut to the hand that nearly sliced his middle finger off.
"I went and looked at in the light and it was like hanging there," said Higgins.
Things could have been worse, Higgins said, if he had been stabbed deeper or higher on his torso.
"They said if he woulda got any deeper where he went, then I woulda been in a lot more trouble than I was," said Higgins. "I didn't even know he was stabbing me."

Higgins was taken to a local hospital by a private vehicle.
"I didn't even know I was stabbed until we were almost to the hospital," said Higgins. "I knew my finger, that was it. I started feeling the blood gush as we were going. I told them I think I got stabbed in my hip, too."
Eventually, all of the other victims went to the hospital, as well.
Nation fled the party on foot.
The sheriff's department called the incident an attempted murder.
Nation was arraigned Monday on one count of malicious destruction of property. Further charges are expected.
