WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) - A pedestrian was hit by two cars and killed Saturday night in Wyoming in what police said was an unavoidable collision.

The victim has been identified as 44-year-old Roberto Herrera from Kentwood. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Around 10 p.m., two cars were traveling north on 44th Street near Division Avenue. Witnesses said the first car clipped the man into the path of the second car.

Wyoming police investigators told 24 Hour News 8 neither driver was under the influence of alcohol.

Witnesses told police the victim was drinking at a nearby restaurant, but there is no way to know if that had any influence in the incident. An autopsy is pending.
