SYRACUSE, Ind. (WOOD) - An Indiana man is recovering after sheriff's deputies found him passed out inside a car with a blood-alcohol content of .548%, which is nearly seven times Indiana's legal limit.

WNDU reports that police found Bradley Wine, 28, Sunday morning in his car.

Police believe Wine's vehicle ran out of gasoline near Syracuse, Ind. late Saturday night. They told WNDU they think Wine, instead of seeking help, stayed in the car and consumed many alcoholic beverages until authorities found him.

Paramedics took Wine to a hospital as his vital signs deteriorated rapidly.

The Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office is reviewing the case, including blood lab test results, with the potential for charges to be filed against Wine.

Most clinical studies suggest that BAC levels greater than .50% are typically fatal, WNDU reports.
