GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - An operating millage renewal on non-homestead property easily passed in the city of Grand Rapids Tuesday night. The renewal passed 67-33%.
The millage provides crucial funding for the school district after funding was cut by the state.
By an 82-18% margin, voters renewed a similar proposal in Rockford.
In Grattan Township, voters OK'd a millage renewal for fire protection (72-28%) and a renewal for fire vehicles and equipment (62-38%.)
