LE ROY, Mich. (WOOD) - The former president of a Michigan school booster club is accused of stealing money from the district and organization.

The 51-year-old woman from Luther was recently arrested on a three-count felony warrant.

Michigan State Police was contacted in March by the Pine River Area Schools District with concerns that one of the Pine River Sports Booster Club members may be stealing money from concessions sold during school sporting events.

There were also concerns the member may be stealing money from the Buck's Pride Athletic Organization, according to a news release.

After a several-months-long investigation, the Osceola County Prosecutor's Office authorized warrants for the former president of the organization for larceny in a building.

The suspect was then taken into custody.
