GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - A local group in West Michigan offered free back-to-school haircuts for boys in kindergarten through 12th grade.

Barbers at Cut Creators in Grand Rapids cut hair on Sunday and then distributed school supplies to the students.

This is the second year Endless Opportunities has organized the event.

Alvin Hills, the founder and executive director, said he and shop owner, Dwayne Howard, both wanted to do something positive for the community.

"Endless Opportunities was founded to provide life-changing events to people of all races, genders and backgrounds," Hills told MLive.com.
