GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Grand Rapids Public Schools Superintendent Bernard Taylor is still in the running for the CEO job with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, the Plain Dealer reports.
All three finalists for the position will advance to the final round, according to the newspaper.
Each candidate was interviewed for about two hours at Cleveland State University. The decision to recommend all three was unanimous, the Plain Dealer reports.
A search committee on Tuesday met with Taylor and his two competitors, Cheryl Atkinson of Lorain, Ohio and Chris Scott of Lowell, Mass. All three will now be interviewed by Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson and the school board.
Those dates have not been announced. A decision could come by June 1, according to the newspaper report.
Jackson is expected to visit the finalists' district before making his pick.
