GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Its walls have featured works by Warhol, Whisler and Toulouse-Lautrec. And Tuesday night, second-grader Erin Adams joined them.
"I'm so proud," the Shawnee Math/Science/Technology Academy student said, walking out of the Grand Rapids Art Museum with her family. "I'm so happy."
Adams' work and pieces by hundreds of other students from 64 public and private schools in Grand Rapids are on display as part of Grand Rapids Public Schools' Citywide Student Art Show.
More than 230 students -- plus plenty of parents and siblings -- came to see the artwork as the show opened Tuesday.
The show is free and runs through the weekend at the museum, according to a district flyer.
