Ford's daughter to address GVSU grads

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Grand Valley State University says that the daughter of the late President Gerald Ford will speak at its graduation ceremonies on Saturday.

The university says that Susan Ford Bales will give an address at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. It says about 1,000 students are participating in the commencement.

The ceremony starts at 10 a.m. and is being live-streamed at www.gvsu.edu/commencement.

The daughter of Gerald and Betty Ford is a trustee for the Gerald R. Ford Historical Legacy Trust and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation. She's also a global ambassador for efforts against breast cancer by the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
