GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - It will cost more for classes at GRCC this Fall.
Their board of trustees voted to raise tuition for the Fall Semester for residents, non-residents and out-of-state students.
Resident tuition will rise $5 per contact hour, to $89.50.
Non-resident tuition will rise $15 per contact hour, to $196.
Out-of-state tuition will rise $25 per contact hour, to $293.
"We have a job to do that we take very seriously. Our job is to educate those who enroll and walk on our campuses." said Margo Anderson, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, Grand Rapids Community College.
"More students are enrolling while less dollars are coming to us through property taxes and state revenue," said trustee chairperson Margo Anderson in a statement. "We have been very conscientious in looking at each line item in our operating budget and have cut $2 million from expenses to date."
