Scam targets credit union customers

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - State police say they know of a scam that uses the name Grand Valley Co-Op Credit Union.
24 Hour News 8 has heard from multiple people about a similar effort tied to Lake michigan Credit Union.
The victims get emails on their phone saying their debit card will be deactivated.
Once the victim calls the number, the scammers try to get your personal information.
If you get such an email, the best advice is to ignore it.
