Mike "Internio" Aguilar -- WSNX's morning radio funny man -- told 24 Hour News 8 he was in a bathroom at the Woodland Mall on Saturday when he noticed a man looking at him through a hole in the stall.
"Noticed a hole in the bathroom stall and the guy pulled the toilet paper out of the hole that was there. It was about the size of a dime. And next thing I know his eye was right there," Aguilar said.
Police believe the suspect was there to either peep or engage in some type of activity. He had a small mirror with him, a pocket knife and a small bottle of lotion.
"Internio" said he freaked out, took a good look at the man's old running shoes and then left the bathroom.
He went back in and out, trying to figure out what was going on.
But when "Internio" saw a young boy walk in the bathroom he made sure something was done.
"This time I get angry so I run to the front and start pounding on the door and start screaming to people like this guy is peeking through the hole, and nobody is really listening to me at all. So that's when I go back out and find two security guards," says Aguilar.
"I feel like this guy is not in jail right now and he should be, and I think something definitely needs to be done because he could do this to somebody else."
24 Hour News 8 spoke with the Kentwood chief of police who confirms the suspect was cited for disorderly conduct and is ordered to appear in court next week.
We caught up with that suspect on the phone. He points the finger at his accuser.
"He (the alleged victim) was looking at me. I stuffed toilet paper in the hole. It must have fell out though because when I looked up he was looking at me again," the suspect said.
The accused says he was in the bathroom for about 15 minutes trying to find a stall that didn't have holes in it.
As for the materials that police found on him, he says the lotion was for his cracked cuticles, and uses the mirror "mainly because I get long hairs in my nose and eyelashes. I use the knife to trim them."
The suspect does not have a prior record. He will be in court on March 17.
