MARSHALL, Mich (WOOD) - Mary Lands' parents have been holding vigils on this date for
the past four years.
It was five years ago, March 12, 2004, that Mary
disappeared.
On that day Mary's fiance, Christopher Prat, says she went
for a walk late at night wearing only her medical scrubs and a
favorite brown leather jacket.
Pratt remains a suspect in the disappearance of Mary. Right
now, he's serving time for assault on a more recent girlfriend. His
earliest possible parole date is February 2012.
For years, there was a feud between local police, private
investigators and Mary's family. Recently, all parties buried the
hatchet and committing to work together.
"Now everybody is combined together to get this case solved.
Instead of bickering all the time its best that we work to get Mary
and bring her home," said Clifford Marshall, Mary's father.
Thursday at noon, Mary's family, friends and law enforcement
will meet at the fountain in Marshall..
