GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - WOOD TV8 and the other television stations in the market will now make the switch to DTV on June 12. The decision was made in conjunction with the other stations in the area.
WOOD TV8 plans to turn off the analog transmitter at 10:00am, Friday, June 12.

The DTV switch was originally planned for February 17. But the Obama Administration pushed for a delay to give consumers more time to prepare. The June 12 date is the new date proposed by Congress.
There will continue to be DTV tests aired on the stations at regularly scheduled intervals to help consumers know if their TV set is digitally ready.
