Tire-eater pops up on E. Paris

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) - Patti Patton of Saranac hit a pothole on East Paris Monday afternoon, ruining her tire. But she's not the only one that was caught off-guard by the tire-eater just south of Burton.

As her tire was being changed -- she had to buy a new one after paying $55 for the change -- she told 24 Hour News 8 that she was the fourth of five people who hit the hole. "And the guy who was three had two -- both of his right tires were flat."

The city of Kentwood is aware and has already partially filled the hole, even though the hole is technically on the Grand Rapids side of the street.
