GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The trial of Eric Freeman, accused in the beating death of a former college football player in January 2008, continued with another of the men involved taking the stand.
Luis Gaston, who previously plead guilty to his role in the beating and subsequent death of Jonathan Krystiniak, testified about one of his friends punching Krystiniak shortly after they left the Margarita Grill that night.
When he was asked who else kicked Krystiniak, Gaston replied, "Eric."
"Where in his head did you see Eric kick him?"
"The same place I kicked him," Gaston said. "One right after another."
Gaston and three other defendants plead guilty to manslaughter. Freeman is the only one who chose to go to trial.
