Teen dies after go-cart crash

WHEATLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 16-year-old died during surgery after suffering injuries in a go-kart accident.

Dakota Decker of Blanchard was driving a go-kart on 10th Avenue near 6 Mile Road in Wheatland Township at around 5 p.m. Monday when one of the wheels fell off. The teen lost control and crashed.

Decker was taken to Central Michigan Community Hospital, where he died during an operation for his internal injuries.
