Pedestrian hit, killed by semi

A pedestrian died in Orleans Township when he was hit by a semi truck in the early hours of Jan. 13, 2009

ORLEANS TWP, Mich. (WOOD) - A man was hit and killed by a semi-truck early Tuesday morning in Ionia County.

Gregory Brower, 50, of Belding, was hit by the truck around 2:20 a.m. near the intersection of Johnson Road and Woldridge Road in Orleans Township.

Investigators believe Brower was walking northbound on Johnson Road before he crossed the road into the path of a semi.

Brower was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
