GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Casey Therriault will spend six months in jail for his role in the beating death of  college student Jonathon Krystiniak near the Margarita Grill in Grand Rapids in 2008.

Therriault and Luis Gaston pleaded guilty in October to manslaughter as part of a plea deal that kept his prison time down.

Therriault will also be on probation for two years and will have to pay $20,000 in restitution.

Gaston agreed to testify against the three other defendants in the case who face murder charges in the death of Krystiniak, known as Jono.

24 Hour News 8 will continue to follow this case.
