GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Metro Health Hospital is now officially the only full-service hospital in Michigan to be LEED certified.

The certification means Metro Health will receive a bonus grant of $150,000 from the Kresge Foundation.

That is on top of $500,000 it already got from the foundation in 2006 to construct its new location at 5900 Byron Center Avenue in Wyoming.

Once completed, the hospital complex will be home to more than 40 LEED-certified businesses and organizations.
