GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Baseball fans that come to West Michigan Whitecaps games this season need to bring along their appetites.
The promotions staff for the team has added quite the item on the ballpark's menu -- the Fifth Third Burger.
24 Hour News 8 talked Thursday with Steve McCarthy, vice president of sales for the WhiteCaps.
He said the burger, which weighs four pounds, consists of five one-third pound hamburger patties, five slices of cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, chili, salsa, sour cream, corn chips and an eight-inch Nantucket Baking Co. sesame seed bun.
The burger costs $20. You get it on a plate and the ballpark staff will slice it if you prefer.
If you can eat the entire burger by yourself during the game, then you get a T-shirt that has the burger's name and a picture of it on the front, and the nutritional facts listed on the back.
