GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich (WOOD) - An 18-year-old Jenison man was hospitalized after being attacked with a meat cleaver early Saturday morning.
Deputies from Ottawa County responded to the Georgetown Ice Arena shortly after 1 a.m. for a call of a fight involving several people.
By the time police responded, those involved had left the scene. Police were able to catch up with a car where they found their 21-year-old suspect with the meat cleaver. The Coopersville man was arrested as was the 19-year-old driver of that vehicle. The driver, a Byron Center man, was arrested for drunk driving.
Police believe three men and one female were involved in the
initial fight and they all knew each other.
