GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - More snow is already making its way into west Michigan; the intensity of this storm will continue to grow throughout the morning.

That system may produce 4-10" of snow from Tuesday into Wednesday morning.

Christmas Day looks quiet.

County road commissions pulled their trucks off the roads on Sunday due to the weather and the high winds. But they're back on the roads. There will be patches of treacherous roads because the temperatures are so low the de-icers and salt are not as effective.

Jerry Byrne of the Kent County Road Commission told 24 Hour News 8 the crews are putting down a 50-50 mixture of salt and sand, and seeing the roads respond.

Airports throughout the Midwest experienced delays and cancellations. Check your flight information before you leave.
