DALLAS (AP) - Ex-Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, hours after being released from jail, flew to Texas for what his attorneys say is a job interview.
WFAA-TV showed Kilpatrick on Tuesday night stepping off a private jet at Dallas Love Field, after a flight from a Detroit-area airport.
Kilpatrick departed Michigan about 16 hours after his release from jail.
It's been more than a year since a text-messaging sex scandal started the process that ended in Kilpatrick's arrest, plea, jailing and release.
Kilpatrick's attorneys have said he has a job interview Wednesday in Texas. Further details were not released. A judge has ruled Kilpatrick must return to Michigan by Monday.
The 38-year-old Kilpatrick is on probation for five years.
