Fire destroys Ada apartments

ADA, Mich. (WOOD) - A nearly-completed apartment complex in Ada was destroyed by an early Tuesday morning fire.

A passing motorist saw the flames around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Stone Falls Drive SE, near the Alticor Headquarters in Ada. Three departments responded to help fight the blaze.

Construction at the unit was nearly complete, but firefighters told 24 Hour News 8 it is now a total loss.

No one was inside at the time of the fire. Investigators said the cause of the fire does not appear suspicious.
