Fiery explosion at Ottawa Co. gas depot

FERRYSBURG, Mich. (WOOD) - A 10,000 gallon oil and water separator tank ignited Sunday morning, causing a fiery explosion outside an Ottawa County gas depot.

The explosion happened at 3 a.m. Sunday at a Citgo terminal in the 500 block of 3rd street, in Ferrysburg.

The tank contained a minimal amount of gasoline.

Firefighters were able to quickly put out the flames.

No one was hurt by the explosion, but neighbors say it shook their homes.

Firefighters say they weren't worried about the explosion damaging homes.

Investigators say the incident does not appear suspicious and was likely caused by an electrical spark.
