Driver arraigned in deputy's death

Undercover sheriff killed in October

    Justin Malik was arraigned Monday for negligent homicide in the death of Barry County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Yonkers in October 2008.

    Malik, 24, faces charges of driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle while impaired causing death. Malik allegedly was drunk when he hit the motorcycle Yonkers was driving and working undercover at the time of the crash.

    His preliminary exam is set for January 14.
