DeLano Services, which billed itself as one of the premiere turnkey manufacturers of card and board games, locked out its employees Thursday.

The Allegan commercial printing company employed more than 100 people.

Employees say first shift workers were called into a meeting at 8 a.m. and told to collect their belongings and leave. They say the doors were immediately locked after they left.

24 Hour News 8 called the company. "We apologize, but our office is closed until further notice," was the pre-recorded response heard on their answering machine.

Former DeLano employee Ken Smith said he was let go last week. But Smith said he was turned away Thursday when he went to the company to pick up his last check. He was told by company officials they didn't have the check, and the company was closing.

DeLano Services , bought by Juan Mendez in 2006, also has been printing bank and financial forms for over a century.
