GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - A Calvin College student who continues to deny he wrote a sexual remark about a female student on his Facebook page was suspended for a year by the college.

Tony Harris was disciplined by the school over the posting on the social network site, even though he claims someone else had his password and actually posted the comment.

Calvin is convinced he wrote the derogatory statement.

Harris refused to write a retraction and because of that, according to his mother, Vicki Amar of Southfield, he was suspended for one year.

Calvin College says it is unable to comment due to student confidentiality rules.
