GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - 24 Hour News 8 is learning more about a man accused of strangling a woman on Grand Rapids' west side.
Kenneth Ray Thomas, 38, remains locked up in the Kent County Jail, charged with killing 53-year-old Debra Jean Vanklaveren whose body was found last month in her apartment in the 300 block of Indiana Ave. SW.
Thomas' MySpace.com page shows he lived his life in the gym. Most of his pictures show him flexing in what appears to be a body building competition. He says on the Web site that his hero is Jesus and his faith is what keeps him strong.
Thomas' family was in court last week for his arraignment. His brother told 24 Hour News 8 Thomas is "the biggest sissie", saying he is incapable of murdering anyone.
Thomas will be back in court on February 20.
