Allegiant Air comes to Grand Rapids

CASCADE TOWNSHIP - Allegiant Air announced Monday the low-cost air carrier is moving its flight operations from Lansing to Grand Rapids. And for a limited time, you can book a one-way ticket to the Orlando or Tampa area for $89.

The flights to Orlando will take place three days a week, and the flights to Tampa four days each week. There will be only one flight each way each day.

"Competition is always good," said Shelley Kohtz of Witte Travel. "It gives people more choices and their days have to work for you."
