Dana Isola and her family plan to meet with investigators before lighting candles in memory of her mom, Janna Kelly, who disappeared one year ago.
On December 4, 2007, Kelly vanished. Her purse, wallet and jacket were found at a Grand Rapids car wash, and her car was discovered near Ottawa Hills High School. A land surveyor found her body March 13 on property in Grand Haven Township.
Isola said she never though the case would linger this long with no answers, and said it's taken a toll on the whole family.
"It's all around the holidays," she told 24 Hour News 8. "Some special family birthdays all around that same time. A lot of what used to be happiest times of the year are now altered forever."
The Grand Rapids police and the Ottawa County Sheriff's Department are jointly working the case. There is also a $50,000 reward for information leading to Kelly's killer.
