GRATTAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people were found dead in their home around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, and authorities are treating their deaths as suspicious.
The Kent County Sheriff's Department told 24 Hour News 8 the bodies of a man and woman, both in their 40s, were found by the woman's daughter in the house in the 3800 block of Murray View Drive.
Investigators say it is obvious the victims had been dead for a considerable amount of time.
They say one of the victims lived at the home, while neighbors say the other lived there "on and off."
Neighbors say the victims were quiet and the deaths are a mystery to them.
"No fighting, no noise, no anything. They were quiet," said Ryan Scott, who lives next door. "We wouldn't have guessed there was anything out of the ordinary going on over there, 'cause you never really saw them."
Autopsies will help determine how the victims died.
Authorities say there was no forced entry into the home, and believe no one else, other than the two victims, are involved with the crime.
