GRAND RAPIDS, MI. (WOOD) - A locally produced film will make it's red carpet premiere Thursday night in West Michigan.
"Mickey Matson and the Copperhead Conspiracy" will make its debut at 6:30 p.m. at Celebration! Cinema Grand Rapids North.
The movie was filmed in the Ludington and Manistee areas last fall.
The family-friendly adventure film stars Christopher Lloyd, Ernie Hudson ("Ghostbusters"), Patrika Darbo ("Days of Our Lives") and Middleville native Derek Brandon as the title character.
Grand Rapids native Kevin Yon, the voice behind Chrysler's "Imported from Detroit" ads, also stars in the film. Yon is also in the new Jason Segel movie, "The 5-Year Engagement."
The film was locally produced by 10 West Studios in Manistee.
It was awarded a Michigan film incentive of $162,128.
Thursday night's movie is sold out, but you can still catch the film at Celebration! North, South and Rivertown starting Friday.
